Ahhhh...the smell of poop!

Submitted by Mary Biesinger on Mon, 03/23/2009 - 02:02.

Piper, my two year old, has decided that she knows best when the diaper comes off.  Oh no!  I am too lazy to duct tape the diapers on her yet, and definitely not up to potty training her, so I guess it's my own fault :).

Lily (6) is our official chicken egg gatherer and Havala (5 1/2 months) nurturer, both of which are sometimes scary.  However, most of the time the eggs come in unbroken and Havala still seems to love her passionately loving older sister.

Hyrum decided that all the boys in the children's book Quinn was reading to him are boys "because I can see their ears...there's a boy...there's a boy..."etc.  The girls all had hair over their ears.   Strange, the connections we make!

Drew (7) is the Konnex (sp?) king and has designed all sorts of fun mechanical structures.  Sending him to his room is not a punishment!  He also won three games of "lightning", "tornado", or "speed" (whichever you choose to call it) the other night against his dad, Tova, Kel, and some friends...go Goob!

Tova (12) loves to snuggle with Hava and a book, play her violin, and participate in her clubs with her friends.  She especially enjoyed the triple chocolate fudge brownies her grandpa and grandma gave her for her birthday!  Yummm!

Kel (10) is all about friends, friends, and more friends.  Every once in a while he will decide it is alright to be with us (we're flattered ;).) but he is soon off to calculate how much friend-time he has coming.  He also is great at calculating money.  If I set up all his math problems to include money, it would be a cinch!

I am getting my garden in (woohoo!) and trying to learn from all my mistakes last year.  I am also reading all sorts of great books when I have time, and am helping put on a kid's "Midsummer Night's Dream" play in April. I also love visitors (we're less than 5 minutes off the freeway I-15--unless you get lost :).)

Quinn is busy in Young Men's, appraising houses (particularly for refinancing right now), and playing basketball in the morning.  He is enjoying training our filly when he has time and keeps busy keeping the house and yard in repair--seven kids are not easy on a house!

Havala is getting fatter and fatter...butterball baby!  We love her darling smiles and her giggles.  She shows absolutely no interest in rolling over or sitting up on her own, but is very intent whenever we get the food out...which would account for her figure!

Much love to all of you!
