How to Use this Site

We made this site as an idea we came up with over dinner one night. I felt that I didn't know any of my cousins any more. Each time I would see you all at family functions it seems I'd find you had 3 more kids than I remembered! Anyhow, we had the idea for this web site. That if we could make a simple place for us to write updates about our families, that maybe we'd stay a little closer.

These are the ways to share:

1) Blog entry. This is a "Web log" as many of you may already be familiar with. It is like an online journal where you can periodically just write what you and your family are up to, like camping trips, birthdays, new babies, etc. Every logged-in account has an independent Blog which you can access once you're logged in. If you don't have a blog elsewhere yet, you can use this as your personal blog and share the link with anyone you like.

I have a blog on my own web site already, so rather than write all new stuff for this site, I'll just copy and paste certain blog entries over to here when I think it fits.

2) Image. This lets you upload an image to the site. You can also write as much description and story as you like. This doesn't actually get connected to your blog, but these entries can be just as long and you may just choose to do images instead of blog entries.

Any of these blog entries or images get combined together with the posts of the other people in your more-immediate family, grouped by the children of Kendrick and Mary Ellen. These portals are listed as tabs across the top of the web site. Also, all posts for the whole web site get aggregated together and shown on the home page. If you have concerns about privacy you can conatct me here.
